Week 2: Breaking up existing concrete base (Tuesday)
Today Stuart used the jackhammer to start breaking up the concrete base. He broke up one half of the site and uncovered the manhole (as expected). This will be covered and a rodding eye will be put in in our patio for access to drains.
They also lifted the patio slabs to bring us in line with our neighbours (a total of 4.8m in length).
